I have a jack russell, and he sheds like crazy! I got him shaved but I cannot get the hair out of my carpet and couch. I have tried lint rollers, static brushes and everything. any suggestions?

HI, go to the super market and find a product call Static Guard. Usually found in the section with laundry products. Spray it on your furniture. Then vacuum, it help release the static bond of the dog hair to the couch material. I use this all the time and it does work. Your carpet is another matter. I just vacuum a lot. I also have a Dyson vacuum and it works very well to get all my Golden's hair out of every where.

On my carpets I use the Arm and Hammer carpet deodarizer. They have one that is made for Pets and has some kind of Pet Hair release where it will help you to be able to vacuum the hair off the carpet. It works really well for me. For the couches I use the tool from my vacuum cleaner, it does not have bristle brushes on it, it has what looks like little teeth and it pulls the hair right off the couch.

wrap plain old sticky tape (sticky side out) round your hand and go along dabbing at the hair.....it should pick up the hair.

the sticky rollers are the best way to take it off in my experience. That and spray your dog with water whenever he goes on your furniture so he will stop doing it. If you let your pets inside the house, they will leave hair everywhere. Try having tile or wood floors it is easier to take pet hair from those than carpet. If you have carpet and pets, then the hair will linger in the carpet. When we changed our flooring, my allergies got way better, cause we could just sweep up the hair off the floor from my cats.

It is the worst part of keeping pets inside, they always shed their hair all year long, try to give them baths often so the hair doesnt leave so much stuff in it to cause allergy problems.
