diaper bag

umbrella stroller... usually don't use this kind until baby is 4-5 months old, but they're much lighter weight than the big strollers. I have both a regular stroller and an umbrella stroller

exersaucer (not a walker!!!!)

onsies

sleepers (footie pjs)

tearless shampoo

baby water bottle (a milder version of hot water bottle/heating pad, sometimes good to use for colicy babies)

Infant Tylenol (only use when your pediatrician says it's ok)

Infant Mylecon (great for gassy babies)

Baby Orajel

baby monitors

Baby Book (if you don't have one already)

I forget what this is called... kind of an impression kit. you use it to make imprints of your baby's hand and feet. I got four of those, lol.

Dreft... this stuff is pretty expensive, but one bottle goes a long way. Baby clothes are only supposed to be washed in hypoallergenic detergent like Dreft or All Baby

Onesies are good things to have!

well thats a really good start. usually when you go in to register they give you a scanning gun you use to scan all the items you want. Just start scanning EVERYTHING you like. Of course your not going to get it all but then people have a better idea of what you want and need. this includes clothes, onsies, booties, socks, hats everything, bibs, oh and get a boppie its a U shaped pillow and it works wonders. i have a 16month old thats still loves to use it!

Register at Target.com.... they have lots of suggested items that pop up. Like when you select a high chair... a thing shows on the screen that says 'people who selected this chair also selected.......'

You need some onsies. My favorite gift was baskets. I use them everywear. I also go a bottle holder, it is the best thing ever.

If you go to target.com to the baby registry there, they give you a great list to go by!

You don't necessarily need baby towels or a baby bath. You can use normal towels and the sink works great until they can sit up and then you can use the regular bathtub.

Ask for lots of stain stick. I go through at least one to two a month. Babies are messy and it makes doing laundry a lot easier.

Go to babygearforless.com they have suggestions.

Don't forget crib bedding, a car seat bunting (MUCH easier than a snowsuit!), baby tylenol, gas relief drops, a bottle brush, a rectal thermometer and the covers that go over them, and clothes! For clothes, I recommend (after 3 kids of my own) 12 one piece sleep-n-play outfits, 4-5 special dress up/going out outfits, at least 6 pairs of socks, a dozen onesies, and a couple of sweaters to layer over the baby's clothes if it's cold... all of that in each size!

I liked Babies R Us or Target for registries.

Don't get baby powder, not good for babies.

Get a snuggle nest for cosleeping, onesies, spray n' wash, dreft detergent, triple paste for diaper rash, emery board (since their nails are so soft when they are born), socks, waterproof quilting pads, boppy pillow if you are breastfeeding, or the brest friend pillow, lansinoh nursing pads and cream, infant books (I like these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H82...

(Sassy Baby 3 Piece Nursery Rhyme Books, Multicolor ))

sling/carrier (Slingeeze or moby wrap, or create your own with fabric:http://www.wearyourbaby.com )
