I am getting a haircut and also need some hair advice, please read!?

I have an oval shaped face that is slightly rectangular, with natural multi-toned blonde hair that begins long layers at my lips. I would really like to get sideswept bangs but i really don't have time in the morning to style them, and styling at night is a disaster for me. I think layered side bangs to the side with a deep side part would be less work, but I'd like your input on the best cut for me. I don't want to go short.

I have also noticed my hair feeling slightly thinner, because I have some wispy, baby hairs on my head that have broken. Could this be from too much brushing? If so, any tips? I have extremely thick hair that is straight, but slightly wavy underneath.

Thanks so much!

With an oval shaped face you can pull off more styles than any other face shape out there. That said, sideswept bangs should look great on you. Layered sideswept bangs that are a little on the long side with a deep side part would be perfect for someone lacking styling time in the morning, because the layers of the bangs will be blended into the length of your hair they will look good whether they're styled or not. Styling bangs takes no time at all though, blowdrying them to the side with a large metal plated round brush would take no longer than 45 secs. max.. Straightening irons that can be used on damp or dry hair make styling quick also, because there is no need to dry first.

Hair breakage can be caused from things like brushing instead of combing wet hair, wearing hair ties too tightly or too often, even things like the pillow case you sleep on. Moving around while you sleep rubs your hair on your pillow case and fabrics like cotton are rough and cause damage, satin or silk fabrics are best. Using a deep contioning treatment once a week (while continuing to condition daily) will strengthen your hair.
