What are the disadvantages of growing my hair much longer?

I'm a guy and I have knee length hair. I plan to grow it out to my ankles, or maybe even longer. What disadvantages could there be? (Other than taking longer to wash %26amp; brush). If you think I should cut it, please give me a really good reason, because so far I can think of any real disadvantages. I still haven't come up with anything good enough to discourage me. I'll spend more in shampoo, but save money on haircuts... lol

wow that sounds really nice hopefully someday my hair will be that long. its gettin there! hmm a disadvantage is if you ride in a convertable its like attack of the hair!!!! i guess just getting the tangles out but start from the bottom. o0o0o or getting your hair stuck somewhere. has that ever happened to you? happened to me the otherday with the sunroof E_E

1. it could smell worse than short hair if u sweat a lot

2. u'd have to take extra care of it....coz it cud be delicate

3. u MAY not look so good in it....[a big MAY]

4. and well umm...u'll always be worried about it...concious...checking if its okay....

stick to short hair....much easier..

but still if u think the abbove mentioned cicumstances are overcome-able....then go for it!!!!

Donating it to Locks-Of-Love. My husband had some long hair, but he joined the Marines so before he went to boot camp he donated it to Locks-Of-Love. He had beautiful hair, and now some child somewhere has a beautiful wig and maybe feels a bit better. Thats why I think you should cut it. They could get alot of wigs out of your hair. I plan on cutting mine when it gets to my knees. Its at my behind now, I think Locks-Of-Love is a wonderful thing.
