Suggestions for cuts and styles for VERY thick hair?

I'm in my early 20s and have very thick dark brown hair. It comes down to the middle of my back and is kinda wavy and frizzy. I don't have the time or energy to do much to it in the morning. Any suggestions on a good cut that doesn't require much maintainence. I want to keep it on the long side cause I am getting married next year and need to be able to put it up into an updo. Right now it is too long and completely out of control. It takes about 30 minutes to brush it and it's driving me crazy. Any help or suggestions would be greaty apprecated.

Get lots of layers put through it to thin it out but dont get the layers to high that way you can still put it up and with layers you can keep the length. hope this helped : )

chop off a layer or two.

Get your hair cut in layers. If your hair grows fast then you'll be fine within a year, because if you want your hair to be evened out to one length for your wedding the hair won't be so short on top that you'll need a million bobbie pins.

Go to a beauty school,or hair stylist and ask them what they would suggest, explain that keeping the length is important to you.Having thick hair cut professionally into layers will keep your hair more manageable, and less frizzy, with less split ends.Using conditioner/shampoo made especially for your hair type will really help you, too.Keeping your hair manageable is an ongoing process, but it is worth the effort. You will feel alot better.:)

THIN IT OUT!!!!!

You don't need to cut alot off just loose the weight. By doing that you'll also be cutting down on the time you spend brushing it. %26amp; Like that you can still keep the length. Layers are great. If you want volume you can have short layers starting on top.

Good luck!
