I need advise on my hair?

My hair is dry, especially along the tips, I have got my hair permed twice which has been more than 6 months ago. I havent actually taken care of my hair with any perming shampoo or any styling gell or moose. The result has been that now they are very frizzy , half permed, half straight through which I cant even put a brush through. I

went to two hairdressers, one said that I would need treatment to get it moistursed, with a new cut and then a perm. and subsequent treatments after that. The other said that I dont need a treatment, just a good cut and good products to look after the hair after the cut to maintain it... The treatment would wash off once you shampoo. ( although they didnt look at my hair to see that i still had some perm felf)

what should I do and who should I go to?

You should get the Moisturizing treatment before you have any Chemicals put on your hair! You can get a good deep conditioner or leave in conditioner at a beauty supply store and do the treatments at home for a lot less money.

Don't at any cost go to a hairdresser!!! They just want your money and will give you the most expensive treatment they have.

I would go to just a small time hair cut shop, maybe even a family owned shop. They will know what to do and they won't overcharge u

I would say get a treatment, and a good cut , along with some decent shampoo/conditioner/and leave in conditioner. The treatment doesn't just wash out when your hair is shampooed. When they do a treatment, they wet your hair, put it on, and leave it on for maybe 5 minutes....then when they rinse it, they do so in cool water so that the hair shaft closes and holds in the moisture from the treatment.

No worries girly i know exactly what you need... i strongly suggest two things.. first consider cutting the ends.. (less than an inch) this will help even out your hair a little %26amp; get rid of the most damage part of the hair.. second i recommend heading 2 your local JC Penny store hair salon.. and buy CHI products... the shampoo %26amp; conditioner will help aliviate %26amp; re-build your hair in a matter of days... its a great product which has no alcohol %26amp; provides amino acids your hair requires %26amp; is despretely crying for. No worries girly trust me this works more than anything.. Good luck .

First, trim off the dead ends. Get a good shampoo and conditioner, I most recommend BedHead's Moisture Maniac. Use a deep conditioner twice a week AT LEAST--BedHead's Dumb Blonde is great. Do not use any more chemical treatments. When you blow dry your hair, use the coolest setting. If your dryer doesn't have a cool setting, find one that does. Use a healthy hair gel or mousse--if you can find one without harsh chemicals it will actually be good for your hair because it absorbs pollution, sun drying, and other things that your hair would normally have to absorb. I love Biolage Gels and Mousses. Take a vitamin with biotin in it--it helps with hair growth and overall health of your nails, skin, and hair.

A few more tips is use a natural bristle brush to spread oil through your hair before you wash it. Also massage your scalp a few times a day to promote blood flow. Shampoo JUST THE ROOTS; condition just the ends. While the hair is wet, don't brush it. Use your fingers to gently remove tangles but if you can't remove them wait to your hair is dry so it will not break as easily. Do not frisk your hair with the towel; blot it dry or you'll just cause it to frizz worse. Use a smoother like Redken Glass to help with the obvious frizz. Although a cut is a good idea, anyone that tells you to get a permanent wave again is just asking you to ruin your hair. What you need is nourishment to the hair, not more chemical treatments. To make it all look balanced, you can scrunch your hair into waves, use curlers with the mousse, or blow dry it straight using a paddle brush and a hair dryer on a cool setting.

I am very sorry about your experience and I wished more cosmetologists were sensitive to the way you feel. I hope that all of this helps and if there's more, feel free to email me.

Ok, here is an easy fix.

Buy some Alberto VO5 Hairdressing, either in a tube or jar, and before you go to bed, just slick your hair back with it generously, wear a shower cap or wrap your pillow with a towel to keep your sheets and pillows from getting greasy, in the morning shampoo your hair as normal, do that about once a week, it will solve that problem.

If your hair is short enough, you might even do that as a temporary hairstyle, the smooth glossy wet look is sexy to many men, but may not fit your face.

The wet look is not for everyone.

But it may for you at least in the short term.

i would go to the one that say my hair need to be treated.

make sure she mention a deep condition every two weeks.

get your hair trim or cut in what ever style you want. but your ends need to be trim since it is very dry. that a sign telling me that the ends are broken/splits.

when she perm your hair. tell her to only perm the straight hair. it can be done. the whole head does not need to be perm. you dont need your hair to be over process again and again.

summarry....deep condition ever two weeks...damage ends cut...new growth/straight hair pem only....buy a moisturizing shampoo and conditoner to take care of your hair at home, between services.
