I have been told to try washing with white vinegar and/or hydrogen peroxide. I have also heard that sunlight will remove it.

You might try to put some fresh lemon juice on the stained areas and sit outside in the sun. ( It works to get natural highlights)

wash, wash, and rewash...use the entire bottle of shampoo if you have to. Or, use shampoo that is specifically for build up. I had this once with nail polish and it took several reapeated washings but it finally came out. Use HOT water too which is horrible on hair, but it will help to get the pollen out quicker. Good Luck!

Everything I've heard and read about lily pollen says not to wet the stain, but brush or hoover it off, or lift off the grains with sellotape. I'm sorry I can't be more help!

  1. This happened to me last night but I was too tired from my birthday celebrations (yes....'too tired' has multiple definitions but we'll just run with that) to do anything about it. My husband noticed it this morning as the stain was pretty intense. I knew it would take a lot of washing to remove it so I sprayed it with dry shampoo. Throughout the day the intensity reduced so much it was almost undetectable. I've just resprayed it before bed and I'm pretty confident it will fade further by morning.
