Hair product basics help!?

I'd really like a list of "hair essential" items that can be used for multiple purposes as at the moment I have a bit of a random mixture, and I could probably chuck alot of it out.

At the moment I have:

- The new GHD straighteners

- Regular brushes

- Blow dryer

- Shine spray, hairspray, comb etc

(and a whole lot of other little things)

I'm looking for more help in terms of brushes and other products like balms/serums that are useful! Thanks!

Hair product basics help!?

I'm not sure if it's is for your hair or if you're styling other people's hair, but here's what I think a stylist should have for basics and a good product recommendation for each:

a good flat iron that'll also curl and flip(your ghd is already the best so you're good here)

heat protecting serum for flat ironing with (Redken smooth down heat glide)

some type of volumizing product (redken thickening lotion)

some type of straightening product (TIGI S-line smoothing lusturizer)

a firm hold gel (Short sexy hair hard head)

medium hold gel (redken urban experiment velvetine gel)

mousse (kenra artformation mousse)

Firm hold hairspray (kenra volume spray)

Medium hold hairspray (Redken workforce)

Shine spray (redken outshine)

Shine serum (Biosilk silk therapy)

Texturizing paste (redken rewind)

Pomade (redken water wax)

Leave in conditioner/detangler (redken moisure mist)

3 round brushes (small, medium, large) with short bristles and a metal or ceramic barrel

a vent brush

a paddle brush

a boar bristle brush

With these tools you should be able to create any style beautifully.
